About us

The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) was set up in November 2018 by the Department for Education to increase pupil attainment in computer science and ensure that there is a strong pipeline of digital skills in England.

Cardinal Hume Catholic School is one of the 32 National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) Computing Hubs across England. Each hub provides computing training and support for schools in their allocated regions. Our regions are Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham and Cumbria.
